Cleaning Instructions:

For best results, clean with hot water and our stainless steel scrubber. Remember cast iron retains heat after cooking. 

Rinse and dry thoroughly. We recommend drying cast iron over a flame as it is porous.

Lightly coat the surface with cooking oil to prevent rust and maintain seasoning.

When storing for a longer period, cover with a towel to prevent dust from attaching to the oiled surface.

Barebones DO NOT recommend soaking your cast iron for extended periods of time.

Seasoning Instructions:

Wash with warm soapy water. This is the only time you should use soap.

Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Apply a thin coat of Barebones Living Seasoning Paste, or cooking oil of your choice to the inside and outside of all pieces.

Place upside down in 160 degree oven for one hour. Place aluminium foil on lower rack to catch drips.

Turn off heat and allow cast iron to cool completely before removing from oven.

When food starts to stick to the surface you will know its time to repeat this process.
